i am off to LDN town again this sunday.
on monday and tuesday i will be writing with a variety of different people...including norweigans. i'm really looking forward to it! then on wednesday i'm back with James Flannigan in the Wendyhouse! we're hopefully gonna properly record something... properly.
then, as far as i'm aware, i'm back on thursday! but i don't know for definite. i know nothing for definite.

new and quirky website. you like?

so - a lot of you have probably seen the new youtube videos. me and my manager were chatting, and we were like "wouldn't it be amazing if we could get the reactions of my "demos" from all subscribers/supporters"? and the conclusion we came to was yes. so today! the 3 demo-y songs (happy, lie and pieces) have been unleashed to you all... and when i last looked i had well over 600 comments, and it's #1 most discussed in music today. WOOP.

basically, i think it's the best idea ever. i'm gonna write and record songs with people, try and make them as me and as cool as possible...and then when we've made them sounds as good as possible (for a demo, anyway) i'll put mini clips of them up onto my YouTube, and you can tell me what you think straight away!

you'll be making my music with me... and i can't tell you how good that feels

oh herro!

london was a ball. i loved every fucking minute of it
we had so many ideas floating about and produced a really good track. still not exactly where i want to go, but it's so close! really exciting now, i can't wait for LA and copenhagen and maybe a few more sessions in between!

i also got to work with Preston for a few...minutes. ha! he's wicked, really knows what he's doing when it comes to music! the track came alive when he was there

the company magazine shoot was also a laugh! a bit embarrassing at first...but i soon got into it. like, really got into it. that comes out on the 15th of February, so make sure you go out and buy it!

as you may or may not have seen, i've added some download links to a few of my original songs. i've also given you the option to pay for them or not...do as you will. but if you don't, feel NOTHING BUT GUILT. only kidding. or am i? yeah, i am.

hello, i'm back again

me and my sister had a little fun with my cousin's camera...so there are a few new photos. i look so gross in a few of them, but my sister insists i put them up...so there they are! click my ugly mug below to see the rest, ha



off to London town tomorrow morning! i really hope the snow isn't so bad that it stops me from going...else it'd really fuck things up, ha
can't wait to start writing! i'm writing in Wendy House Productions and other clients have included robbie and kylie...wit woo. ha! the pictures look so swish... i'm gonna walk in and be like "now what?" ha

so i'm writing with james and maybe some other people til thursday! hope to get about 2 songs, maybe some more depending on productive we are...ha. then on friday, i have a Company magazine photoshoot. yes, that's right. what the hell's that about then? ha! they emailed charlie and i about me featuring in one of their issues, i get an interview and everything...i'll let you know when it's all out and stuff. but wow, how exciting is that!

and also, it's been confirmed that i'm going to L.A in february with my manager to write a few songs with some really wicked people! i've listened to some of the tunes they've made, and they're really really REALLY good! and then hopefully to Copenhagen/Sweden in march to write some more songs. WRITEWRITEWRITE!

it's all kicking off and we're 10 days into the year. fucking hell..

welcome to the new year. 2010. shit.
this year, i've decided, is big. nothing absolutely major may happen and i may not get exactly to where i want to be...but my god, am i on my way? i've also decided that i'm not allowed a comfort zone this year. i'm going to be put out of it so much, that i figure i may as well delete it all together... ha.

a new year's resolution is to keep on top of this beautiful site. my sister didn't make it look all pretty for nothing! please keep checking back... i realise i pretty much update you on everything via Facebook or Twitter... but i'm thinking maybe i should leave all the updates for the website?

update NOW is:
on sunday i'm going to London for about a week. i'm gonna be writing with a guy called James Flannigan, who i believe to have been originally in a band called the Stiff Dillans. i've listened to his stuff on his myspace and it's amazing. luckily we're both into very similar music, so i'm very much looking forward to it! check him out at http://www.myspace.com/stiffjames

and then on february the 13th, i'll be playing a gig with Klaus and Tom Williams & The Boat at the Betsey Trotwood in Farringdon! it's 16+ and there's only a 45 capacity, but it should be wicked! i'll let you know when and where to get tickets for that if you're desperate

as for the big "OMG K8 HAV U SPENT ALL THE 25K YET?" - no. i haven't spent a dime yet
i'll let you know when and what i spend it on! but you're as clueless as i am at the moment, haha

oh hello there people that helped me win 25 GRAND WORTH OF SPONSORSHIP MONEY.
i won i won i won! and i am so so so grateful. i even made another video just to thank you. thank you so much, i am literally forever in your debt. forever!

to think i once thought twice about quitting university baffles me...

so, quick update! i went to London for a variety of reasons, and here are those reasons:

1. i had a YouTube charity gig on the 28th of November which was a massive success! huge thanks to Miss Cherry Lee (AKA TheBathroomGirl) for organising the whole event and making the night ridiculously brilliant. lovely to meet todd, matt, dave and ana as well! lovely people!

it was broadcasted live on the interweb... and if you didn't catch it, FEAR NOT! you can see the whole thing here! please watch the other acts as well, they were phenomenal.

2. i had a meeting at the 1click2fame office and it was wicked seeing everyone again! was interviewed for a tv program of some sort (can't actually remember what or how) and had to walk around oxford circus with 6989453 people staring at me, baffled as to why i was walking up and down steps over and over again. it was quite embarrassing, but after the initial "oh my god, what the fuck am i doing?" factor, it was quite alright! then we went back to the office and Charlie (manager) popped along to help me discuss what the lovely prize winning is gonna go on! i'll let you know more on that when i know!

3. saw ellie goulding, didn't i? (for those of you who don't know, she's practically the best thing to walk the musical planet). met her and a lot of lovely other people, and to be honest...i'm still in awe of her performance. not a note wrong - incredible.

a brilliant few days...though i DID get stuck in a lift for an hour. this wasn't too much fun if i'm honest. considering ms. goulding was due to start at 10pm and we were eventually jumping out of the broken lift at about half past 9. still had time to tweet though!

lastly, i was indeed meant to be flying to Copenhagen this Monday, but because of timing and money (yes, money...still) we're going to leave it 'til early next year instead. bring on 2010 :)

and another month goes by where i leave you baffled about my world... fear not.

1. for those of you who follow me on twitter or watch my life happen on facebook, you'll realise that i have been ridiculously busy! obviously having quit univeristy, i was pushed into (thanks mum) working full time. and...

2. i also uploaded a video to the wonderful 1Click2Fame. now, at the time, i genuinelydidn't think anything of it. i seem to always do things on a whim, much like the skindividual campaign... and then a few days later i realised i'd been entered into the quarterfinals or something (if i win the quarterfinals, i win £25,ooo worth of sponsorship money... just dropping that in there) which was brilliant! so good! which meant i got to go to Boot Camp on Monday 2nd November! they paid for the hotel and travel etc, and i got to meet so many lovely people. this sounds so cliche, i do realise, but i genuinely had such a good time. i highly recommend if you love to sing or dance, upload a video...seriously. what do you have to lose?
